Counselling and psychotherapy for individuals, children and couples.

Enlightenment is not a destination,

it's a journey worth seeking.

Healing can be difficult but the hard work that you put into it will always be worth it. Psychotherapy has helped me for more than 20 years of my life with my own struggles. Going through that healing journey for myself, I realized the power of therapy and how it can lead you on unexpected paths of healing, growth and happiness. I'm excited to meet with you and begin your own journey of healing and enlightened moments that can help bring you clarity, peace and powerful insight into who you are and what it is you want to accomplish.

At Enlightened Pathways, I ensure that you have a safe space to share your truths. Through various kinds of therapy and techniques, the opportunity for growth and healing is possible.

Academic Training

I attended University of Indianapolis for a bachelor's in Psychology and attended Indiana Wesleyan University for a Master's in Addictions and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Clinical Experience

I have worked in various settings that include Crisis counseling, school-based, addictions, geriatric and play therapy.

Each of us is the sum of our experiences in life. The secret is discovering how those experiences interrelate. I offer professional counseling in the areas described below.

Enlightened Pathways works primarily with adults. However, we are open to all populations.

Addiction & Recovery

Addiction can be very hard on you and the people in your life. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Therapy Approaches

Cognitive Behavior Therapy

This is a therapeutic approach where negative thought patterns about yourself or unwanted behaviors are challenged and changed that help treat depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders.

Psychoeducation

Educating yourself on certain issues, conditions and topics can help you come to a better understanding of yourself and others around you.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy

This type of therapy combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with acts of mindfulness that can help you better understand and manage your thoughts and emotions.

Therapy FAQs

  • Therapy Sessions

As a patient of my clinic, we’ll start with a 50 minute assessment appointment where we discuss not only your reason for seeking services, but also a significant part of your history and what factors could have lead you to this place in your life. Also, most importantly we’ll discuss therapy goals and what you want to achieve by attending therapy.

Going forward we’ll meet usually once a week or once every two weeks for 50 full minutes per session.

  • Therapy Treatment Length

The answer to this is based on your therapy goals. The idea is not to stay in therapy forever. We’ll identify together what is hurting, what is wrong and what needs to be different in your life. Then we’ll work together to determine what your life or situation needs to look like in order for you to feel “done” or ready to move on from regular therapy. It is very appropriate to start therapy more intensively with more frequently visits and as goals are reached, to taper off with less frequent visits and ultimately terminating therapy. However, many people will return for a “check in” or “tune up” if things start to degrade again. Therapy is something you can move in and out of as you need it.

  • Therapy Payments

Treatment is offered at $115 per session or sliding fee scale by income if needed. I accept cash (exact amount), check or major credit cards/HSA accounts.  Insurance is currently not accepted at this time.
